Each address receives a clear result based on evidence the verifier can collect without sending a message. Checks cover email syntax, domain mail-routing records, known disposable providers, and role-based inboxes such as sales@ or support@. Results are separated into valid, invalid, risky, unknown, disposable, and catch-all states so uncertain evidence is never presented as a guarantee.
Uploaded files are parsed in your browser. Only the normalized addresses you confirm are submitted temporarily to the verification API so processing can continue through a page reload or server restart. Exporting results or resetting the job deletes the verification data. The verifier never sends a test email to a contact.

A domain with working MX records can receive mail in general, but that does not prove a particular mailbox exists. Mail servers frequently block or disguise recipient probes, and some domains accept every recipient before rejecting invalid addresses later. For that reason, valid means the available non-sending checks passed; unknown means the available evidence was insufficient.
Role-based addresses are not automatically invalid. Inboxes such as info@, sales@, and support@ may be valuable business contacts, but they often reach a team rather than one person, so the tool marks them as risky for segmentation. Disposable providers are reported separately so you can choose a policy appropriate to signups, newsletters, or outreach.
